I'm trying to get Allison and Dad to make their own blogs. Actually I suggest it all the time to people. I feel like I am able to keep up with my relatives and friends who have them so much better than those who don't!

Warhol-style

I thought about doing these as Christmas gifts (frame a group of them... my nieces and nephews, etc.) but David didn't think anyone else would like them, so I didn't do it.

Carmen made this for Paloma this morning--note the mobile over the bassinet! It's the one we've had since Carmen was a baby!

What to wear?

I admit it. Paloma is my baby doll, and I love dressing her in adorable outfits, especially this time of year since red is my favorite color! She has lots of hand-me-downs and some cute new things, too. She received a couple of Christmas outfits as gifts in addition to what we already had, so we were set for days of fashion shows! One of these pics shows her with an aunt and a great-aunt gushing over her Mary Jane tights--the shoes are knit into the feet of the tights with a real bow on top! They came in pink and red, so one pair or the other goes with virtually everything. And, Aunt Amy got her 6 pairs of Mary Jane socks for Christmas--they came in a tiny shoe box! So exciting!

Christmas night with David's side of the family

"Doesn't Benjamin celebrate Christmas???," Carmen whined as we pulled up for our Christmas celebration. "Of course he does!," David responded. I realized why she asked a few seconds later. This week we watched "Davey & Goliath's Snowboard Christmas", in which Davey meets Jewish and Muslim neighbors (who for obvious reason don't have Christmas decorations outside). So since there were no outside decorations, this was her first thought.

Overheard at church this morning: "We're baptising the incredible baby today!"

Christmas morning

Paloma slept through the kids' discovery of what Santa had left.

Carmen's version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas

She wrote an 8-page book last week; I discovered this as I found her trying to staple it together.
Here's the cover & the first page. Page 3 is all writing. Some of it is missing because the manilla paper is bigger than the scanner screen.
