Saturday Night with Dan & Tracie
We finally made it over to Dan & Tracie's with a meal, though not as soon after Samantha's birth as we would have liked. Also, we didn't drop it off, as is customary in our circle of friends, but instead stayed to eat and hang out for several hours (til it was past bedtime for all the kids and we'd overstayed our welcome).
I began this post with a picture of the kids' table; there were 8 kids (who eat food) plus baby Samantha, so they have a great time together.

A day for celebrating... at Chuck E Cheese.

This seems to be a tradition for 2 year olds in our family. It's hard to find any other place as fun or special for someone that age.

Zoe's Super-Dee-Duper 2nd birthday party!

I wanted to go to Dallas Blooms! at the Arboretum, but by the time we finished Zoe's surprise birthday video, we only had a couple of hours to spare, so we went and fed the ducks at the Boys' Ranch instead, and then we went to check out the bluebonnets at DFW. After that, we took a tour of Fire Station #5, but I didn't get any pictures there. It's an amazing facility, though!

Happy Birthday, Zoe!

Her party will be next week, but there will be a lot of people and a lot of presents, so I wanted to give her something today. Unfortunately, the toy we gave her was defective! Now I have another reason to go back to IKEA...

Happy Birthday, David! And Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!

This was the first birthday since David's diabetes diagnosis and that made it harder to figure out what to do to celebrate. Maybe we should celebrate another way besides a meal or cake! Seriously, I bugged him for days to pick a restaurant (as is the tradition) so we could get together with his family. Finally, on Friday, he decided on Mi Cocina, one of our old favorites.

We met there for lunch and as usual the kids had a blast with each other and Gabe had fun with Joe & Susan.

David got some interesting gifts including the new Beatles music from Cirque de Soleil. We put it on in the car immediately!
