I do not like basketball--there, the secret is out--and actually I don't like the idea of passively watching pro sports at all (though I make an exception with the Rangers).
I don't like the noise of basketball, the talking over the crowd noise, the whistles, the shoes squeaking on the courts.
I really do not like March Madness or anything that makes people talk about sports instead of real life all the time... things like spill over into the news, etc.
I do watch the Super Bowl--for the commercials!
Can you believe I worked in a sports bar for over 2 years back in college? I picked up things even when I tried not to, but that was decades ago now.
Strangely, I am married to someone who could easily have had a career in sportscasting, who remembers everything about every game ever played, who says things before the commentators on tv say them (he says it here, it comes out there, just as if he were the producer talking in the ear of the anchors).
But even David doesn't usually follow basketball. The Mavs' winning streak has him a little interested, however.
However, I can't help it, I am excited about the Aggies' performance this week, so I got the kids to wear their maroon to celebrate the win on Thursday.
Now it looks like I need to do the laundry so we can wear them again this week!
Gig'em, Aggies!
