Confessions of a failed mommyblogger
When I read this, I identified with some of it. I laughed when she wrote about her audience: "which, as best I could tell, included my mom, a couple of high school friends and fellow bloggers battling lack-of-comment-induced depression."
I don't feel much like I've had to make a choice between living life vs. blogging about it, however.
I agree with Anais Nin: “We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospection.”
I was surprised to learn I was one of only 8,500 mom blogs when I started in 2005. I like to read other "mommy blogs", too, but that hardly comprises all of my reading material. I can see how limiting that might be!
So, if I've failed, it is because I don't have the self-discipline to blog when I'm sleepy, but I've opted for health rather than posting daily or even weekly, where necessary.
