Busy Busy/ Uncle Jano visits
We knew it was going to be a crazy-busy weekend ahead of time if for no other reason than it was a 3-soccer-game weekend.
Paloma was invited to a party for her friend Hannah, but it was at the same time as Gabriel's soccer game, so she went with Allison and Zoe. (Thanks, Allison!) She was dressed for the barnyard/ petting zoo theme of the party and the gift was in my favorite-ever gift sack: it's made to look like the Fisher-Price barn circa 1970, complete with a flap that moos when you open it. Anyway I didn't want to miss the kids' games since I'd missed several before and since Eva's birth. I even missed Gabriel's first 3 goals!
This is Carmen's coach's wife Monica with Carissa and Miranda.
And Mom & Sissy came to see us at Carmen's game, too.
After Carmen's game, we were supposed to go by a birthday party for one of David's cousin's kids (David also works with his dad). It turned out that we didn't have time, though, because Uncle Jano was in town already and we wanted to get over to Lety's to see him. She had planned a pot luck dinner so we could all get together while he was here on business.
Everyone got a chance to hold Eva
including Lety, who noticed that her clothes were hand-me-downs from Sofia (she showed us a picture).
Martha thought Eva preferred to lie down
and look at the face Eva was making at Abuela!
The kids all got to sit together at the kids' table
so the adults could enjoy some conversation for a change
After dinner Uncle Jano showed us his new product, demonstrating it with the Pixar movie Cars, so the kids got a kick out of it too!
