Have I written about how Paloma always asks, "Even or odd?" when we're getting in the car?

This started when Carmen and Gabriel were arguing about who got to sit in the seat facing Eva, so I made a rule that Carmen could sit there on odd days (her birthday is an odd day) and Gabe could sit there on even days (his birthday is an even day). Paloma's seat is next to Eva's so it shouldn't really matter to her, but she quickly learned to ask, "Even or odd?" each day. The funny thing is I think she's starting to get what that means! She definitely gets that it's a way to take turns.

So the evens in the family are Paloma, Gabe and me. The odds are Eva, Carmen and David.
We think that's an interesting way to divide up.

Another funny thing she's been saying, but this one makes no sense (unusual for her): "That is not true!" She'll say this in response to something she doesn't want to do. (I wish I could remember what I first heard her say this about...)

I love hearing the funny Paloma stories. She's a silly one, and I think we'd get along very well!
