The Lion King Experience

There are no adequate words to describe the show, and you're not allowed to take pictures or video, but I looked up a few things on Google trying to find images to show you the amazing costumes and sets (although I couldn't find some of the coolest sets)!

These hyena costumes may have been my favorite, but you can't see the rest of the costume including the part that went up and over the actors' heads to be their scaly haunches.

And this picture was taken at 11:30 P.M.! You can tell that Carmen and Gabriel had been dressed up for the show, though they look a little unkempt here! When we missed the first ride on the only tram to the boondocks where David had to park, we were disappointed. At that point, both Paloma and Gabriel were asleep in our arms. But we sat down to wait for the next ride because I knew there was no way I could carry Paloma that far. As we sat, we noticed that musicians were starting to pass by ("There goes a trombone player!"), so we told each one that we enjoyed the performance. A little while later, a man & child walked by and the man asked us, "Did you enjoy the show?" When they slowed down to hear our response, I recognized the girl: the actor who played Nala! (I should have recognized her from the picture with Caylee!) Dylan told us that she'd be 10 in a few weeks, that she was up past 11 most nights, and that school started for her at noon. Carmen marveled at this for a while, past the time we got to our car.
