This morning I showed the kids their suitcases for our trip. Gabe tried on his backpack & I tightened the matching fanny pack as much as possible (but it's still too big). He then proceeded to play with these all day.
This afternoon, Carmen brought her suitcase downstairs and informed me she was going to start packing. I suggested she make a list first and I'm so glad I did!

That made me laugh out loud. SO cute!
The fact that it is a priority to her to take her "jernle" and her "pensle" proves that she is her momma's girl! I love it.
Also, seeing "cash reggister" on her list made me think of a time when we were little. Y'all came to Abilene to visit and I was so excited to show you the play money I'd made for the cash register so that we could play store. I ended up getting really embarassed when you and Allison informed me that the $2 bills, $3 bills, $4 bills (and so on) that I'd made were a mistake! I was so embarrassed! I remember it so vividly!
