Snow & Ice in March?

Sorry, but I cannot get excited about snow in March. Not this year. Not when I have to wade through snow and ice to get to my car--even though I'm parked in visitor parking because of the sciatica--and my feet get all wet and frozen.

Not when I'm still freezing when I get home and the kids want to play outside and I keep having to put them off by saying, "Maybe when Daddy gets home--I'm too cold!" And also too tired to put them in enough warm clothes. Partly too tired because I volunteered to cover a class for a friend on my conference period because she lives in the boondox and it was going to take her hours to get home and she needed to take care of her horses and cows.
This is how the yard looked when I got home, but it kept snowing and snowing.

Of course David got stuck at work because of the weather, and by the time he walked in the door, at dinnertime, he said, "I might have to go right back!" The media has nothing else to report on when the weather throws a curve ball like this. I begged him not to, and he didn't, but by this point it was dark and too late for the kids to get to play in the snow.

Maybe next year!
