5 days old / Lauren, Jackie & Nesha visit

Jackie and Nesha came to visit, bringing gifts, flowers, and homemade brownies. But the best part was the company!

Megan (Jackie's granddaughter) also wanted to get close to baby Eva.
Paloma told everyone about Eva's name.
Carmen took a turn holding the baby (she's wearing the Big Sister shirt from Margo and her mom).
Paloma pretended to make snacks for everyone.
Paloma pretended to feed Eva, too.
Gabe emcee'd a sight word contest, having Jackie and me recite the words on his notecards when he held them up. When I "won" by saying the most words first, he literally "crowned" me with a construction paper crown.
Yes, I know, this is a very dorky picture of me, but it captures the goofiness of the moment.
He wanted to keep going to give Jackie a chance to win, too, so we did.
When Jackie won, Megan wasn't too sure this was a good prize.

Lauren also came to visit, having finally gotten over her case of strep throat.
