Gymnastics field trip

Gabriel's classmates (over 100 of them) went on a neat field trip to our district athletic facility for a day of athletic fun.

And has anyone else noticed how backloaded kindergarten is with field trips towards the end of school? Is this a master plan to make kids remember the good stuff so they'll come happily back to school in the fall for first grade? If it is, it's a good trick.
Gabe's group started on the field with calisthenics
(and our friend Sandy got a little baby fix)
and then we we toured the press box.
Next we went up to the gymnastics area (but had to pass through this stinky area where the shoes are stored).
Most of the kids seemed to like this "slide" or the foam pit the best.

Here's our friend and neighbor Jeffrey
and our friend and neighbor Sean.
Gabriel's class posed in the pit for us. The next and last part was in the room with the trampolines, but I needed to get Paloma from Gigi's house, so I missed that photo op.
