Getting by with a little help from my mom
Gigi came to get Paloma so I could go to a volunteer luncheon. (She also picked up the kids and took them to school 4 of the mornings David was gone so I didn't have to get Paloma and Eva dressed and out the door by 7:45.)
Every year David & I are invited to this luncheon, but it's always during the school day, so I'd never been before. I thought a bunch of my PTA friends would be there, and I was right.
This year's theme was disco and the decorations and costumes were cute. The food was good, too. Eva slept through the whole thing.
When we went to Gigi's to pick up Paloma, she was thrilled to see Eva again.
Gabriel devised this "bandage" out of a paper towel and scotch tape. He insisted it made his cut knee feel better.
Once Amy got home from work, we all went to Pei Wei for dinner; Brian and Dad were also out of town, so the score was
Adults: 3
Kids: 6
Yes, scary odds. But it went fine and the kids ate very well!
Thanks for helping this week, Gigi!
